Ces essais n’ont pas entre eux de lien déductif manifeste. Ils sont plutôt un regard à travers la sagesse de Socrate et de Montaigne, afin d’approfondir, de méditer et d’atteindre la Vérité ; afin de définir notre propre regard sur la vie. Les sujets abordés – le temps, les valeurs, la société – se présentent sous différentes facettes, mais ils sont inclinés vers une seule orientation : s’enrichir dans son humanité et éveiller notre sensibilité au monde. Car, l’humanisme demeure l’horizon indépassable de toute philosophie.
